How to use Mac OS X Mail (10.4) with GUMail: Setting Where Sent Mail is Saved

You can save your sent mail locally, or you can save it on the GUMail sever (see Understanding Local Mail for more information about this).

  1. Click on Mail, then Click on Preferences...
  1. Click on Accounts, make sure your @IMAP account is highlighted, then click on the Mailbox Behaviors tab.
 
  • If you want to save your sent messages on the server, make sure a checkmark appears beside Store sent messages on the server.
  • If you want to save your sent messages locally, remove this checkmark.
  1. Click on the red dot to close this screen.
