How to use Mac OS X Mail (10.4) with GUMail

Apple's Mail is a desktop client you can use with GUMail.  Desktop clients are set up to work with only one computer and allow you to check your email from that computer.  They have more formatting options than web-based email and allow you to store your email locally, or on your computer?s hard drive.  Mail works on Mac machines only.  At Georgetown, about half of Mac users use Mail, with the other half using Thunderbird.
