Before you buy an AirPort card, check to see if you already have one. Most newer Macintosh laptops have built-in AirPort cards. If your laptop is not AirPort-compatible, you may be able to use another brand.
If you need to install a new AirPort card, follow the setup instructions that came with it. OS X should automatically detect and install the necessary software.

Click on the Apple menu and then select System Preferences.

In the System Preferences window, click on the Network icon.

Double-click on AirPort.

Click on the + button to add SaxaNet.

Type SaxaNet in the Network Name field.

Make sure that Wireless Security is set to WPA Enterprise.

Make sure that 802.1X Configuration is set to Automatic.

Leave User Name and Password blank. |

Click OK. SaxaNet will be added to the network list.

If you have more than one network listed, drag the SaxaNet listing to the top of the list.

Click on the Apply Now button. The button will now be grayed out.

After a few moments, the following login window will be displayed: |

Type your NetID in the User Name field

Type your NetID password in the Password field.
MSB Students: Your NetID password is separate from your Novell e-mail password. |

Click OK. You'll be connected to SaxaNet wireless. |
Note: If you see the Verify Certificate window shown below, do the following:
- Click on the Show Certificate button.

- Check the box next to Always trust these certificates and then click on the Continue button.

- Close the Network window by clicking on the x button at the top left corner of the window.
