Netscape stores copies of frequently used Internet files in a special folder called a cache. Storing these copies helps some Web pages load faster, but if your cache becomes too full, it will actually slow down your connection instead of speeding it up.

  1. Start Netscape.
  1. Clickon Edit, then Clickon Preferences.
  1. This will bring up the Preferenceswindow.
