SLOW NETWORK CONNECTION: SETTING INTERNET EXPLORER CACHE ON A MAC (OS X 10.1)

Internet Explorer stores copies of frequently used Internet files in a special folder called a cache. Storing these copies helps some Web pages load faster, but if your cache becomes too full, it will actually slow down your connection instead of speeding it up.

Cleaning out temporary Internet files and setting the cache size in Internet Explorer

Start Internet Explorer. Clickon Tools, then Clickon Internet Options.

This will bring up the Internet Explorer Preferenceswindow.

On the left-hand side of the panel, under Web Browser, Clickon Advanced. (If you don't see Advanced, Clickon the trianglenext to Web Browser.)

Clickon the Empty Nowbutton.

Make sure Disk Cacheis set no larger than about 20 MB.

Clickon the OKbutton.
