HOW TO USE REMOTE ACCESS: FINDING AN ISP

Why not use GUExpress?
GUExpress is a free service that provides off-campus Internet access to all current Main Campus, Medical Center, and Central Services faculty, staff, and students.*  GUExpress is easy to set up and use, but connection times are limited to 1 hour and 10 minutes per session. If you need longer connection times or modem access from long-distance locations, you should use an Internet Service Provider (ISP).

There are a great many ISPs in the DC metro area. You may wish to visit http://www.findanisp.com or http://www.ispcheck.com if you need help finding an ISP that's right for you.

*Law Center faculty, staff, and students who are interested in remote access should contact the Law Center Information Systems and Technology (IST) Department. All aspects of information technology for the Georgetown University Law Center Campus community are planned, managed, and supported by the Law Center IST Department.
