How to use Oracle Calendar: Creating Tasks -- Setting Reminders

  1. With a New Task window open and the general information filled in (see Entering the general information if you need help with this), click on the Reminders tab.

  1. The due time and start time have separate reminders. You can set reminders for either, neither, or both.

  1. To activate a reminder, click on the circle beside On (a dot will appear in the circle).

  1. Click on the down arrow beneath Type, and choose a type of reminder.

  1. Type in an amount of time.

  1. Then choose a unit of time (minutes, hours, days, weeks, months).

Pop-up Windows are message windows that pop up on your screen at a specified time (usually a few minutes before your meeting).

Upcoming reminders appear in the notes pane when you look at your calendar in day or week view. The upcoming reminder will appear in your agenda on every day before the task ends (or starts, in the case of a start time reminder) beginning on the date for which you first set it.

  1. If you want to include details (i.e., a short description) about your task, click on the Details tab. (See the appropriate instructions for help filling in that tab.)

  1. Otherwise, click on the OK button at the bottom of the window to create your task.
