How to use Oracle Calendar: Searching Agendas

 
  1. Sign into your GUCalendar account (see Signing in with Oracle).

 
  1. Click on Tools. This will bring up a menu; click on Search Agenda.
 
  1. This will bring up the Search window.  Click on the Criteria tab.

 
  1. Beside Search For, type the word or phrase you're trying to find.

  1. Your name will appear beside Agenda of. If you want to search your own agenda, leave this. If you want to search someone else's agenda, type the full name of the agenda's owner. Then click on the Green Checkmark button.

Note: If don't know a person's full name (or how to spell it), or two (or more) people share the same full name, see Looking People Up in the Directory.

 

  1. Beside Period, select the period of time you want to search through.

 
  1. Click on the Options tab.

 
  1. Under Search through, select the types of entries you want to look through. Make sure a checkmark appears beside each type you want to search.

 

  1. Under Search in, select the places your where you want to look for your word or phrase (e.g., will it appear in the entry's title, or as part of the location?)

 

 
  1. If you want to search for an attendee, click on the attendees tab.

  1. Beside Search For, type the full name of the person you're trying to find. Then click on the Green Checkmark button.

Note: If don't know a person's full name (or how to spell it), or you can't find the person in the directory, or two (or more) people share the same full name, see Looking People Up in the Directory.

Note: If you add more than one person, you will get a HOME » CALENDARS » HOW TO USE ORACLE CALENDAR  list that includes all the meetings that each person is attending.

In this case, it will bring up all the meetings attended by Anderson and all the meetings attended by Baker (not just meetings which both people are attending).

 
  1. When you have set all your search parameters, click on the Search button.

 
  1. Click on the entry you're after
    (this will highlight it).

Clicking on the Show button will take you to that entry in your calendar.

Clicking on the Open button will bring up the View (or Edit) Meeting window

 
  1. You can close the Search window when you are done.
