How to use Oracle Calendar: Setting Notification Preferences

  1. Click on Tools; this will bring up a menu.

  1. Click on Options.

  1. This will bring up the Options window.

  1. On the left-hand side, click on the plus sign (+) beside Scheduling, then click on Receive Notification.

  1. Unless you have a specific reason for not wanting to receive e-mail notifications, we recommend that you leave a checkmark beside Allow others to notify you of new Entries by e-mail.

  1. If you leave a checkmark beside Show pop-up window when you have new Entries, you will see a message when you have new entries.

Note: This window will only appear when you first sign into GUCalendar.

  1. On the left-hand side, click on the plus sign (+) beside Scheduling, then click on Send Notification.

  1. We recommend that you leave checkmarks beside all the choices under Ask to send e-mail to attendees. (If you decide don't want to send an e-mail notification for a particular entry, you can always just Click on the No button when you are prompted).

Note: When you reserve a resource, it is very important to send the resource's owners an e-mail (in addition to sending the appointment). Leaving these options checked provides a convenient reminder to do so.

  1. When you have made all your changes, click on the OK button.
