How to use Oracle Calendar: Upgrading from CorporateTime

Warning! Before installing Oracle Calendar, you should uninstall CorporateTime. When you uninstall the software, all of your settings, preferences, and designate rights will be retained in a special folder so you will not lose them.

Overview

After you uninstall CorporateTime, you're going to download a file (it's called cal_win_9042.exe) from our Web site. Then you're going to run that file to install it on your computer.

  1. Use your University NetID and password to log in to the UIS Software Database.
  1. Select Oracle/GUCalendar 9.0.4.2 for Windows from the list.
  1. Click on the Select Software button.
  1. Click on Download for free.
  1. You'll be asked where you want to save the file. Your desktop is a good place.  Click on Desktop in the left-hand side of the window.

  1. Then click on the Save button.
  1. If you're running any applications, close them.
  1. Find the cal_win_9042.exe file on your desktop (or wherever you just saved it).

  1. Double Click on it.
  1. This will bring up the Welcome window.

  1. Click on the Next button.
  1. The Destination Folder window will appear.

  1. You will be asked to choose where you would like this program to be installed. Accept the default location by clicking on the Next button.
  1. You'll see the Ready to Install window.

  1. Click on the Install button and the program files will be loaded onto your computer.
  1. You'll see a status bar showing you the progress of the transfer.
  1. When all the files are installed, you will see the Completed window.

  1. Click on the Finish button. This will complete your installation.

Note: When you have finished your installation, you may remove the cal_win_9042.exe file from your desktop (or wherever you stored it).

Note: When you have finished installing Oracle Calendar, see Signing in to Oracle Calendar for instructions on logging in for the first time.
