How to use Oracle Calendar: Setting Default Access Rights

You can use these instructions for setting default access rights for your own calendar, for a resource, or for any calendar to which you've been made a designate.

  1. Sign in to your account (See Signing-in, Signing-in as a Resource, or Opening an Agenda as a Designate if you need instructions.)

  1. Click on Tools.

  1. In the submenu that comes up, click on Access Rights

  1. Click on Default: Any Unlisted Person.

  1. Click on the Viewing tab.

  1. Click on No viewing rights. (This will remove the checkmark and let you make changes.)

  1. Check the appropriate checkboxes to establish how default users view this calendar.

  1. Click on the Viewing Tasks tab. Check the appropriate checkboxes to establish how default users view any tasks associated with this calendar.

  1. Click on the Scheduling tab.

  1. This setting is particularly important for resources.

  • If you wish to allow default users to reserve the resource (or to invite you to meetings), make sure there is a checkmark beside Can Invite You To Entries.

  • If you don't want default users to be able to reserve the resource (or to invite you to meetings), make sure the checkbox is blank.

  1. When you have all the access rights the way you want them, click on the OK button.
