How to use Oracle Calendar: Daily Notes & Day Events -- Repeating Events

Follow the same procedures to create both daily notes and day events

  1. With a New Day Event (or New Daily Note) window open and the general information filled in (see Entering the general information if you need help with this), click on the Repeating button.

  1. Click on the little down arrow beneath Frequency. This will bring up a list of options for how frequently you want your meeting to recur.

  1. Click on how frequently you want your meeting to occur. When you have made this choice, another set of options will appear on the right, letting you fine tune your choice. For example, after selecting "weekly," you could opt to have your meeting occur every other week on Thursdays. The "monthly" options will bring up different sets of fine tuning choices.

  1. After you've chosen the frequency of your meeting, choose the period during which it will occur. Click on the option of either having it recur until a specific date or for a number of days, weeks, months, or years (for example, "until 9, April, 2006" or "for 6 months").

  1. This will generate a list of all the dates for your meeting. Click on the OK button. This will take you back to the New Meeting window.

  1. To delete a specific event date, click on that date to highlight it, then click on the Delete button.

  1. To add a date, click on the Add Date button, then click on the date in the calendar that pops up.

  1. To add a date, click on the Add Date button, then click on the date in the calendar that pops up.

  1. If you want to change the options (e.g., importance or access level), include details (i.e., a short description), or set reminders for your meeting, see the appropriate instructions for help with that function.

If you don't want to do any of these things, click on the OK button at the bottom of the window to create your meeting.
