How to use Oracle Calendar: Daily Notes & Day Events -- Setting Reminders

Follow the same procedures to create both daily notes and day events

  1. With a New Day Event (or New Daily Note) window open and the general information filled in (see Entering the general information if you need help with this), click on the Reminders tab.

  1. Click on the type of reminder you want (a dot will appear in the circle beside it).

Display upcoming will put reminders in the notes pane when you look at your calendar in day or week view. The upcoming reminder will appear in your agenda on every day before the meeting starts, beginning on the date for which you first set it.

Remind me will result in window that pops up on your screen (or an e-mail message) that arrives at a specified time (usually a few minutes before your meeting).

  1. Type in an amount of time.

  1. Then choose a unit of time (minutes, hours, days, weeks, months).

  1. If applicable, choose either Popup or Email.

Note: These reminders will come only to you. They will not appear to the other people attending this event.

  1. If you want to change the options (e.g., importance or access level), create a repeating meeting, or include details (i.e., a short description), see the appropriate instructions for help with that function.

If you don't want to do any of these things, click on the OK button at the bottom of the window to create your meeting.
