You must uninstall HostExplorer 7.0 before you can use HostExplorer 8.0. Because some files from the HostExplorer 7.0 install CD are required to uninstall HostExplorer 7.0, you will need the HostExplorer CD from Hoya Computing

After you uninstall HostExplorer 7.0, select your method of installing HostExplorer 8.0:
Before you begin, close any documents and exit any programs that are open on your computer. Make sure you have the HostExplorer CD from Hoya Computing.
Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop (this will open the My Computer window).
Double Click the icon for your CD Drive (this will open a window for your CD).
Double-click the 7.00 folder icon (this will open the 7.00 folder).
Double-click the HostExplorer folder icon (this will open the HostExplorer window).
Double-click the setup.exe file (this will begin the install program).
When asked to select a language, clickOK to confirm. After you click OK, installation will continue.
ClickNext... on the welcome screen.
Click to select the radio button by Remove. Then clickNext.
Click the Remove button when prompted. The uninstall process will begin. It may take a few minutes before you are prompted again.
When you see this dialogue box, insert the HostExplorer CD from Hoya Computing in your CD drive. With the CD in the drive, clickBrowse
Click the small down arrow, then click your CD drive.
Double click the 7.00 folder to open it.
Double click the HostExplorer folder to open it.
ClickHummingbird HostExplorer.msi and then clickOpen.
Now Click the OK button. Uninstall will continue.
When the final screen appears, clickfinish.
After you finish, you will be asked to restart your computer. Return to this Web page after you restart.
