About UIS: Advisory Groups

UIS Advisory Committee

The University Information Services Advisory Committee is convened by and acts under the authority of the Senior Vice President. The primary function of the University Information Services Advisory Committee is to advise the Senior Vice President and the Chief Information Officer on Information Services concerns, including review of Information Services policies, programs and proposals.

The University Information Services Advisory Committee:

  • Provides insight on Information Services matters as informed by their perspective as representatives of varied functional areas of the University

  • Ensures that the concerns of all constituencies are adequately addressed in Information Services policies.

Advisory Group on Scholarly Systems (under construction)

GUide Committee

University-wide committee on Web development. Provides leadership regarding the Web and related technologies and coordinates Georgetown's online presence.

Department Technology Representative (DTR)

Department Technology Representatives act as liasons between UIS and the academic department they serve.They are essential as they provide the necessary knowledge and resources to assist the faculty and staff members in their departments.

Other working groups will be formed to address specific topics as needed.
